11th Annual Law’s Got Talent raises £497 for Leeds Children’s Charity
On Monday, 25 November 2024, the School of Law and the Law Society hosted the 11th Annual Law’s Got Talent at Leeds University Union’s Stylus.
This much-anticipated event brought together the School of Law community for an unforgettable evening of talent, music, and entertainment, raising £497 for Leeds Children’s Charity.
Hosted by students from the School of Law, the competition showcased incredible performances by participants, including Choo Shermane, Brooke Evans, Siddarth Rawat, Matilda Lee, Freddie Halkon, Reena Alhashimi, Mamta Suresh, Harris Yaser, and Bernice Lau, in front of an enthusiastic audience of peers and staff.
The performers received an ovation from the audience, celebrating their captivating performances.
The performances were assessed by a fantastic judging panel, composed of both academic and professional staff members, including Kisby Dickinson, Clare James (Simon Cowell), Federica Casano, Loren Sandoval Arteaga, and Melissa Scalabrin.
The event also featured a memorable halftime staff show, with performances by James Johnston from the Student Education Service at the School of Law and Max Broady the Faculty of Social Sciences, who delighted the crowd with a medley of hits. Judges and attendees were also treated to a fantastic duet by James Greenwood-Reeves and Rosie Fox (AKA Fox Populi and Alice Aforethought), which earned rapturous cheers and applause.

The night’s winner, as decided by the judges, was the exceptionally talented Freddie Halkon, whose heartfelt rendition of Stick Season by Noah Kahan captivated the audience.
