Profile
I am a graduate of the School of Law (BSc Criminal Justice and Criminology, 2022 and MSc Criminal Justice and Criminology, 2023), and am now undertaking my PhD.
I have also served as a module/teaching assistant since 2022, delivering teaching on a range of modules: Policing, Transnational and Comparative Criminology, Youth Crime, Evidence, and Researching and Studying the Social Sciences.
Research interests
My research interests are in police organisational structure and culture, with an emphasis on how these factors influence the police response to VAWG. Particularly, I am concerned with the impact of national policy developments on the policing of VAWG at a local level.
My PhD thesis concerns police understandings of sexual violence in a domestic abuse context, as part of the developing response to VAWG as a strategic policing requirement.
