Dr Mitchell Travis Launches ground-breaking report into intersex

Dr Mitchell Travis presented a public lecture at the Norwegian Directorate for Children, Youth and Family Affairs in Oslo.

The presentation was based on the findings from a new report authored by Mitchell along with Fae Garland (University of Manchester) and Nina Lem Samuelsen (Norwegian Ministry for Health) entitled “Law and Intersex in Norway: Challenges and Opportunities”. The event was attended by representatives from the Ministry for Health, the Directorate for Children, Youth and Family Affairs, Anti-discrimination Lawyers, Medical Professionals, FRI – The Norwegian Organization for Sexual and Gender Diversity, Queer Youth, other charity organisations, a former Acting Supreme Court Justice in Norway, and former chair of the Chair of the United Nations Committee on the Rights of the Child.
