Professor Akman speaks at Swedish Competition Authority’s Annual Conference

Professor Pinar Akman spoke at the Swedish Competition Authority’s Annual Pros and Cons conference on 9 November 2018 in Stockholm, upon invitation by the Authority.

The topic of the conference this year was rebates. Pinar Akman, Director of the Centre for Business Law and Practice, delivered a talk presenting her research on the ‘more economic approach’ to the EU prohibition of abuse of dominance under Article 102 TFEU and the coherence of the case law on rebates. In particular, she discussed the implications of the Court of Justice’s recent ruling in the Intel case for the development of the law in this area.
