Call for Papers:Consumer Protection in Europe: theory and practice two-day conference
The Centre for European Law and Legal Studies in association with the Institute of Commercial and Corporate Law, Durham University, will be holding a two-day conference, 'Consumer Protection in Europe
Contributions making reference to consumer protection in financial services are particularly welcome.
Proposals for papers, in the form of an abstract of a maximum of 300 words, are now invited from scholars throughout the EU with an interest in consumer protection.
The organisers are particularly keen to receive proposals with socio-legal, theoretical, inter-disciplinary or comparative flavours.
All proposals will be subject to panel review by referees. It may be possible to offer some financial support towards the costs of travel and accommodation. The deadline for the submission of proposals is 1 August 2009.
