The Law Schools of Taylor's University (Kuala Lumpur) and the University of Leeds marked their strong and progressive ties with the signing of a collaboration agreement in April 2012.

The agreement will foster both teaching and research ties. The teaching element will at first involve the transfer of first or second or year Malaysian students to complete their Law (LL.B.) degree at Leeds. The next step will be to explore exciting plans for a postgraduate Masters degree in Intellectual Property which will involve inputs from each institution. As for research links, the agenda includes international staff exchanges and regular conference events to be held in Malaysia.

The agreement represents the culmination of considerable work over the past two years by various officers, especially Dean Harmahinder Singh (Taylor's) and Professor Clive Walker (Leeds).
