Professor Akman trains judges from EU Member States in competition law

Professor Pinar Akman, Director of the Centre for Business Law and Practice, trained around thirty judges from the EU Member States in issues of competition law.

The training took part in Budapest, Hungary on 5 June 2018 and was part of a training event on ‘Antitrust Enforcement in Digital Markets’. The event was organised by Academy of European Law (ERA) and co-funded by the European Commission. The training is open to judges who adjudicate competition law cases at national courts in EU Member States. At the training, Professor Akman delivered a lecture and ran a case study on online pricing restraints such as resale price maintenance, platform most-favoured-customer clauses, and minimum advertised prices.
