Professor Akman contributes to European Competition Day 2018

Professor Pinar Akman, Director of the Centre for Business Law and Practice, contributed to European Competition Day on 31 May 2018 in Sofia, Bulgaria by moderating a panel of enforcement officials.

The panel discussed the draft ECN+ Directive which is a draft legislation aiming to boost and harmonise the enforcement powers of the National Competition Authorities of the EU Member States.

The panel comprised of officials from the EU Commission and the National Competition Authorities of Belgium, Italy, Austria and Germany. Professor Akman was the only full-time academic to contribute to the event which was held within the framework of the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the EU.
