Professor Pinar Akman wins Philip Leverhulme Prize

The Director of the Centre for Business Law and Practice, has been awarded a prestigious Philip Leverhulme Prize.

The award recognises the achievement of outstanding researchers whose work has already attracted international recognition and whose future career is exceptionally promising.

Professor Akman is an expert in competition law and will use the Prize to further her research, in particular, in the area of competition law and online technology markets.

The award of the Prize (£100,000) will enable Professor Akman to focus on researching some of the most controversial and topical aspects of the application of competition law in the next two to three years.
