Henry Yeomans on alcohol pricing with Radio Aire

Dr Henry Yeomans, Associate Professor in Criminology and Criminal Justice, was interviewed by Radio Aire on 20 July about proposals for the introduction of a minimum unit price for alcoholic drinks.

Dr Yeomans discussed the proposals generally and particularly reflected on the implications of my recent research on alcohol pricing interventions. Sections of the interview were broadcast in news bulletins thorughout the day.

Dr Yeomans’ research interests lie in the area of alcohol, behavioural regulation and historical criminology, and he recently presented the findings from a project on the historical development of alcohol pricing interventions to an audience of civil servants at the Home Office.
