Guardian University League Table ranks School 8th in UK for Law and 3rd for Criminology
We are pleased to share the news that we have been ranked 8th in the UK for Law and 3rd for Criminology – increasing our position by several places in both subject areas from the previous year.
The Guardian University Guide is different from other guides and does not focus on research scores. Instead, it focuses primarily on the student experience and considers measures that include course satisfaction, teaching and feedback, and post-graduation employment rates.
The tables have been compiled for the Guardian by Intelligent Metrix, an independent consultancy that specialises in measuring performance in higher education. The rankings are based on official data collected by the Higher Education Statistics Agency (Hesa) and on the National Student Survey, published by Hefce.
In the 2016 National Student Survey (NSS) the School received an overall course satisfaction score of 96% from our students so it is pleasing to see this reflected in the Guardian results released this week.
