Prof. Dutfield presents at Harvard Law School conference
Professor Graham Dutfield was invited to Harvard Law School to take part in the conference: “Innovation, Justice, and Globalization – A Celebration of J.H. Reichman”.
The conference, from 26-27 September, organised to celebrate the career of Jerome Reichman, a distinguished American legal scholar and world expert in innovation law, was attended by most of the world’s top intellectual property scholars.
Graham, who has collaborated with Professor Reichman over many years, presented on the topic: “The evolving role of branding in pharmaceutical management: how should competition law respond?”.
The paper forms part of his ongoing research on the history of the pharmaceutical industry and the problems of market monopolies and high drug prices due to patents and trade marks, including on colours and shapes of pills and packaging.
