Dr Konstantinos Stylianou awarded research grant by the Swedish Competition Authority
The Swedish Competition Authority announced the results on its 2019 Research Grant Programme.
They have awarded Dr Konstantinos Stylianou (PI) and Dr Marios Iacovides (CI, University of Stockholm) £52,000 for their project “Goals and Purposes of Competition Law: What Does the Data Say?”
The project will track all CJEU and European Commission decisions to see what they identify as the relevant goals of competition law.
The project comes at a time of heated controversy around the role competition law is called to play in modern economies and is expected to shed light on what courts and authorities think the goals of competition law are, rather than what scholarship thinks they should be.
