Technologies of crime, justice and security conference

The conference includes a two-day programme of roundtable discussions between academics, practitioners and other attendees on the broad topics of technologies of crime, justice and security.
Such technologies include those which not only assist and enable criminal activity such as the internet (Cybercrime), lock picking, surveillance, transport, but also those which help the policing mission, such as body cameras, CCTV, monitoring devices, crime data, GIS mapping, and more.
The conference will begin with the opening remarks by Head of School Professor Alastair Mullis, Head of the Centre for Criminal Justice Studies Professor Louise Ellison and conference co-organiser Professor David Wall. It will proceed with keynote speeches by Professor Bert-Jaap Koops (Tilburg University), Professor Pam Briggs(Northumbria University) and Professor Michael Levi (Cardiff University).
