Reconciling Corporate and Insolvency Law - the European Insolvency Regulation at the Crossroads

This seminar will discuss the current EU insolvency regime, outlining the gaps in the legislative framework and considering some important issues in the Court of Justice of the EU's practice.

The recently started project on the law applicable to companies will be addressed in the light of the draft text which was already adopted by the European Group on Private International Law (GEDIP). The GEDIP’s proposal is a very recent development which is intended to be in line with the EU Insolvency Regime.
