BSC Historical Criminology Network (HCNet) virtual workshop event

This virtual workshop is designed to bring together scholars to initiate conversations around common interests or new directions for research in criminology.

The event will primarily facilitate discussions of seven small working groups, each organised around a particular theme (see flyer). Each working group will set its own agenda and work to its own plans in terms of outcomes. Anyone interested in participating in one or more of the working groups is warmly encouraged to register to take part. Interested participants are welcome irrespective of disciplinary or institutional affiliation; participants do not have to be existing members of the Historical Criminology Network or the British Society of Criminology.

The programme and information on each of the working groups is detailed in the flyer.

Spaces for each working group are limited – early registration is strongly advised. To register, please email David Churchill (d.churchill@leeds.ac.uk), stating which working group(s) you are interested in joining. You will then receive by email joining instructions for the virtual meeting and any further information required relating to your chosen working group(s). The event will take place via a virtual conferencing app (details to be confirmed) – please include in registration emails details of any particular accessibility requirements you may have, to ensure that you are able to participate as fully as possible in the event.

Deadline for registrations: Monday 1 June.

Please direct any queries regarding plans for specific working groups to the relevant convenor email address (see flyer). For queries or further information relating to any other aspect of the event, please contact David Churchill (d.churchill@leeds.ac.uk).
