University of Leeds Law Society holds Mooting Final at Herbert Smith Freehills

The University of Leeds Law Society is a Leeds University Union (LUU) student society that provides aspiring lawyers with a variety of opportunities for an unforgettable university experience.

On Monday 27 March 2023, the University of Leeds Law Society (LawSoc) held both their Junior Mooting Finals and Senior Mooting Finals at the London offices of top law firm Herbert Smith Freehills (HSF).

The event was organised by LawSoc, and School of Law alumnus and HSF trainee Lewis Rogers, and was judged by HSF Partner Craig Tevendale (Head of International Arbitration group in London and Head of Energy, UK).

The competition was watched by over 40 LawSoc members and was followed by a talk and Q&A with current trainees at the firm, and ended with a networking reception which included a number of University of Leeds alumni who now work for HSF, which enabled LawSoc members to expand their legal network.
