School of Law students raise over £3,000 for charity

Well done to our Law School Challenge committee, led by Alice Sleep (LawSoc’s Pro Bono Secretary), who have raised an amazing £3,355.89 for free legal advice charities.

The team took part in a national competition where universities compete against each other and raise money for charities Law Works and Advocate. Overall, the team came in second place in the competition just behind Liverpool John Moores University.

Thank you to everyone who have generously donated through the various fundraising events held this past year.

The team have also won a Gold Award for raising over £2,000 and will be invited to the LawWorks Student Pro Bono Awards event at House of Commons on 1st May.

An amazing achievement showing the power of community within our School and University.
