Support for Research Impact in Research Funding Applications
In liaison with the Faculty Research & Innovation Office, I provide advice and support for impact planning in research funding applications for Pathways to Impact, Impact Summaries and the Impact elements of Case for Support. I can provide detailed comments on drafts of impact plans and/or can arrange a one-to-one meeting to discuss your application.
For dedicated support for Research Excellence Framework Impact Case Studies, please contact Dr. James Hall, Faculty Impact Officer for REF.

Support for Knowledge Transfer activities
I assist with the development and growth of impact-generating externally-funded Knowledge Transfer including: Consultancy; Continuing Professional Development (e.g. home and international short courses, non-standard accredited courses, practitioner workshops and seminars); and ‘other scholarly work’ such as giving policy advice to government. As part of the Finance Team, I support:
- the bidding or application process
- business planning
- costing and pricing
- setting up agreements in liaison with the Legal Adviser’s Office and gaining financial and legal approvals
- for existing projects, I arrange project accounts and budgets, invoicing and monitor income and expenditure.
