Profile
After graduating from Nanjing Normal University with a BSc (Honours College) in Applied Psychology, I completed my MA in Psychology and Education at the University of Warwick. My passion for online video games, especially FPS and MOBA games, paved the way for my current PhD project.
Research interests
I am broadly interested in online video games (OVGs), romantic relationships, and the gaming experience as female players.
My current doctoral projects aims to investigate the factors that facilitate romantic feelings between human players in the context of OVGs, and how female Chinese players perceive these interactions.
My research interests include:
- Female players in FPS and MOBA games
- Proximity in online interaction
- Gendered gameplay in China
- In-game transaction

- Fan girls (Umejoshi, 夢女子)
