A student-led event with the principal aim of encouraging the widest participation from postgraduate researchers.
A great opportunity to give a paper or poster in a friendly, supportive environment and receive feedback to inform the development of your work in the future. It is also a good opportunity to meet with other research postgraduates across the faculty.
The 2015 Postgraduate Research Conference took place on 25 March 2015, with the theme ‘Transformations and its Challenges’.
The day was a great success, with 11 presentation and 8 posters from across the Faculty. The quality of presentations was really high and there was a very vibrant atmosphere, with great conversations taking place.
The poster competition was won by Adekemy Omotubora (School of Law), with a poster titled “Your money or your money?” The internet and the changing interpretation of ‘serious crimes’ in Nigeria.
Second place was awarded to Louisa Riches (School of Law) and her poster The purpose of the Universal Periodic Review in relation to states in crisis.
Finally, third prize was won by Alexandra Gruian (School of Sociology and Social Policy). The title of Alexandra’s poster was Ova selling in Romania – a choreography of (de)legalization.
