Evaluation of interventions

We are a team of highly experienced evaluators of educational interventions and practice and have worked with various funders to create methodological designs to test impact through large-scale Randomised-Controlled Trials. We are also experts in Implementation and Process Evaluation (IPE) and pilot studies, and we design our mixed research methods to gather data around compliance, implementation fidelity, perceived impact and business as usual. Our designs allow us to understand the contextual factors influencing the impact and implementations of interventions and programmes.

Working with developers

We continue to work with a number of programme developers to enhance the interventions and programmes offered nationally and internationally. Our IPE work means we can guide developers to make strategic decisions around how programmes and interventions are offered, implemented and evaluated. We also share our expertise in our given fields to allow developers to make informed decisions about measures, data and interpretation.

Local Authority partnerships

Our team works with a number of Local Authorities to monitor and evaluate programmes at the local level through impact assessment and understanding local community needs. We are keen to share our knowledge of research and evaluation with local areas to enhance knowledge, provide advice on data gathering and interpretation and understand the impact of systems change and programme delivery. Through this research centre we hope to widen our network of Local Authorities to enable best practice to be shared.

Community of Research Engaged Schools (CoRES) network

We are proud to be part of the CoRES network whose mission is to empower educators through practitioner-led research, co-design innovative projects, and the development of activities that turn academic research into real-world benefits. By listening to schools’ priorities, they shape research that truly matters and work in collaboration on funding opportunities that drive progress. The community also opens doors for schools to participate in research projects and access high-quality professional development grounded in evidence and best practice.
