All types

Fees for our Masters and research degrees will depend on the programme studied. Please see the individual course pages to find out the latest fee information. There are a number of funding opportunities available to UK/EU and international students. Current opportunities are listed below:

2019-20

This scholarship is available for schools or services who fund two or more students on the MA Deaf Education programme.

  • Who is eligible

    For schools or services sending two students to the MA Deaf Education programme, a 5% bursary towards the tuition fee per student, per year will be applied. For schools or services sending more than two students to the MA Deaf Education programme, a 10% bursary towards the tuition fee per student, per year will be applied. This scholarship is only available for UK/EU students.

  • How to apply

    There is no need to apply, this scholarship will be awarded automatically.

  • How are the scholarships awarded?

    The scholarship will be deducted automatically from the tuition fee.

When applying to study with us we encourage you to complete your own research into the funding opportunities available outside of the School of Law and University of Leeds. There are a number of external organisations who offer funding, mentoring and work experience to those beginning their studies in law. One example of this is international law firm CMS who offer bursaries, mentoring and paid work experience for those beginning a degree in law. There are two 50% fee scholarships available to UK or EU students commencing study in September 2019 within the School of Education.

  • Who is eligible

    There are two 50% fee scholarships available to UK or EU students commencing study in September 2019 within the School of Education. The scholarship is awarded based on the strength of the candidate's application for the course. Successful candidates must have a minimum 2:1 degree or above.

  • Conditions
    • Receipt of the scholarship is conditional upon you commencing your period of study by registering no later than 1 October in the academic year for which the award is offered.
    • If you are successful you must confirm acceptance of your offer of a place on an MA programme and the scholarship award within two weeks of notification of the award.

The School of Law offers a number of Liberty Scholarships to UK/EU and international students of high academic quality.

  • Who is eligible

    To be eligible for a scholarship, you must meet the following entry criteria. - Be classified as an UK/EU or international student for tuition fee purposes. - You must hold an offer of a place to study and begin your postgraduate taught Masters programme. - You must have strong academic results from your undergraduate degree. - You must submit a strong supporting statement to accompany your scholarship application.

    • Students in receipt of the University's alumni bursary are still eligible to apply.

    These scholarships will be awarded on the basis of academic performance in your undergraduate degree plus the strength of your supporting statement accompanying your scholarship application.

    To be eligible for a scholarship you must fulfil the following criteria. - you must be enrolled on year 2 or 3 of our programmes in September 2019. - you must be classified as international/overseas for tuition fee purposes. - you must have achieved at least a 60% average in the preceding year.

    Available to international fee paying students, starting in September 2019. Successful candidates must have a 2:1 degree or above. The scholarship will be awarded on the basis of the strength of the application for the course.

The School of Education is offering a scholarship of £2,000 to any self-funded International Foundation Year (IFY) student who successfully completes the IFY element and progresses into level 1 of a School of Education undergraduate degree in September 2019..

  • Value - what money is on offer

    £2,000

  • Who is eligible

    These scholarships are awarded automatically (no application is required) to any self-funding student classified as international for tuition fee purposes and not in receipt of any other University of Leeds award. The scholarship will be awarded in subsequent years of the full degree programme as long as you achieve at least 60%.

  • How to apply

    These scholarships are awarded automatically (no application is required) to any student classified as international for tuition fee purposes and not in receipt of any other University of Leeds award.

  • Conditions

    The School of Education is offering a scholarship of £2,000 to any self-funded International Foundation Year (IFY) student who successfully completes the IFY element and progresses into level 1 of a School of Education undergraduate degree in September 2019. This will be renewed for progression to levels 2 and 3 subject to students achieving a yearly attainment percentage of 60%. The scholarship will be withheld in a year where a student fails to achieve 60% but will be reinstated the following year if the student's performance recovers to 60% or above.

This is a partial fee scholarship which can be used on the LLB Graduate Programme offered by the School of Law.

  • Value - what money is on offer

    £2,500

  • Who is eligible

    You will automatically be considered for this scholarship if: - You are a Canadian national or permanently reside in Canada - You achieve at least a GPA 3.5/4.0 in your undergraduate degree

  • Conditions

    You must not already holding another award which covers the payment of tuition fees in full or part, with the exception of the Alumni Bursary. Not open to those who have already been awarded a doctoral degree or equivalent. Receipt of the scholarship is conditional upon you commencing your period of study by registering no later than 1st October in the academic year for which the award is offered.

  • How are the scholarships awarded?

    The scholarships will be awarded automatically to those who meet the criteria. There is no need to complete an application form.
