Mobilities Symposium: John Urry’s Living Legacy

This Symposium forms part of the Critical Mobilities Theory Series.

The Bauman Institute and Ce.Mo.Re. are pleased to co-organise this event, which focuses on the scholarly legacy of John Urry. John Urry influenced new generations of interdisciplinary thinkers across the world with his introduction of the ‘new mobilities paradigm’. His work on tourism, climate change, capitalism, digital technologies, futures and more has generated productive critical dialogues with international colleagues and close collaborators.

This event brings centre-stage key dialogues between John Urry and several of his accomplished international academics and former collaborators with their own contribution to the new mobilities paradigm.
