Profile
My PhD focuses on the relationship between ‘Global China’, the environment and development in the Mekong River Basin. Using a political ecology approach, I am studying the role of China’s Ecological Civilisation in the region’s transboundary river politics.
I have a First-Class BA in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from the University of Oxford, and postgraduate degrees (with Distinction) from the Diplomatic Academy of Vienna and the College of Europe.
I have previously been affiliated with several policy think tanks, most recently with ODI Global in London and the Centre for European Policy Studies (CEPS) in Brussels. I have also worked at diplomatic institutions in China and Europe.
