Profile
I joined the School of Law in summer 2018 having lectured previously at the University of Stirling, Edinburgh Napier University, the University of Glasgow, and Leeds Beckett University. I am the Chair of the British Society of Criminology’s Learning and Teaching Network and Co-Director of the Centre for Research and Innovation in Legal Education. My scholarship focuses on student engagement and innovative teaching methods, and I support and mentor colleagues in pedagogical research and HEA accreditation.

Research interests
I undertake projects on learning and teaching in criminology with a focus on engagement, learning spaces and digital pedagogy. I have carried out a range of pedagogy projects and listed below are the current projects I am working on:
- Evaluating the use of digital interactive learning tools
- Exploring lecture preferences for enhancing student experience
- Understanding the landscape of UK criminology

Student education
I coordinate modules and deliver teaching across several modules on the BA Criminal Justice and Criminology degree. I also contribute to the delivery of the MSc Criminal Justice and Criminology and MSc Security, Conflict and Justice postgraduate degrees. I supervise undergraduate and postgraduate dissertations and PGR studies.
