Profile
I am a full-time postgraduate researcher at the Centre for Criminal Justice Studies, School of Law, University of Leeds. My research, which began in 2022, is supported by a full scholarship from BPPT-LPDP (Republic of Indonesia). I hold a master’s degree in law from Airlangga University, where I graduated top of my class.
Before commencing my doctoral studies, I gained professional experience in both academia and publishing. From 2019 to 2022, I served as Head of the Criminal Law Department at the Faculty of Law, University of Surabaya. Concurrently, I held the position of Managing Editor of Jurnal Yustika: Media Hukum dan Keadilan Law Journal (2018-2022).
At the University of Leeds, I contribute to the academic community through my involvement as a member of the Editorial Board of the Leeds Student Law and Criminal Justice Review and as a module assistant for the undergraduate Criminal Law module.
Research interests
My research focuses on the intersection of cybercrime and criminal procedure law. My PhD project investigates the framework for electronic criminal evidence and the standard of proof in criminal proceedings, drawing comparisons between the Indonesian and Dutch legal systems. I am undertaking this research under the supervision of Professor Subhajit Basu and Dr. Cristina Saenz Perez.
