Amelia Brown

Profile

I joined the School of Law as a Teaching Assistant in September 2022 after completing my LLB and LLM in International Business Law with the University of Leeds.

I now work as a Student Success Fellow, teaching various undergraduate modules and supporting students with academic skills development.

Responsibilities

  • Deputy Director of Community Engagement

Research interests

My primary research areas of interest are environmental law and business law, with a particular focus on corporate social responsibility, ethics and equality. My LLM research project examined regulatory strategies to combat greenwashing by companies titled ‘Regulatory Approaches to Tackle Greenwashing: An Assessment of the Green Claims Code and CMA Proposals for New Legislation’.
I am also engaged in student education research. My PGCAP research project focused on improving student engagement with peer feedback and assessment. Drawing on a literature review of barriers and enablers to student participation, my project explored how factors such as confidence, fairness, social dynamics and scaffolding influence students’ willingness to engage with peer feedback processes. I am also a member of the LITE incubators for assessment and feedback.
