Profile
I joined the School of Law in March 2019. I am a graduate of Harvard University (SJD) and National Law School of India University (BA LLB). Prior to joining the University of Leeds, I was a visiting researcher at the Max Planck Institute for European Legal History. I also have experience in private practice, having been an associate at a corporate law firm.

Research interests
I am a legal historian and my research focuses on the historical development of legal concepts and institutions within the British Empire. I am particularly interested in the relationship between international law and colonialism, and my doctoral dissertation was a history of the doctrine of sovereignty in colonial South Asia.
