Profile
I completed my undergraduate studies in Law at Istanbul University in 2017. Following my graduation, I undertook a MA in Criminology and Criminal Justice at Istanbul Univeristy, where my reserach focused on examining the impact of alcohol use on delinquency among adolescents. I successfully completed the programme in January 2021. In December 2019, I was awarded a scholarship from the Ministry of Education in Turkey to support my doctoral studies. After completing my Master’s degree, I joined the University of Leeds in February 2022.
Research interests
My current reserach interests lie within crime science. I focus on routine activities and offending, examining how everday patterns of mobility and interaction create opportunities for crime. I am also concerned with the mechanisms that drive the spatial distribution of crime and macro-place offending.
