Profile

I came to the University of Leeds in 2019, completing my BSc in Criminal Justice and Criminology (Quant) including a study abroad year at Northern Arizona Univeristy. Following this, I completed my MSc in Social Research Methods and Statistics at the University of Manchester in 2024. I then returned to the University of Leeds, being awarded an WRDTP Collaborative studentship to complete my PhD. My research focus is Probation and Partnership-Working, exploring the experiences of desistance from crime in CFO Activity Hubs that offer a alternative mode of service delviery than traditional, office-based probation. 

My project is supervised by Dr Matt Tidmarsh from the University of Leeds and Dr Jake Phillips from the University of Cambridge.

Research interests

My undergraduate dissertation was titled ‘Exploring the relationship between the Brexit Referendum and the increase in Race and Religious Hate Crimes ’, using time series decomposition to explore data trends. 

My masters dissertation was titled ‘A Comparative Analysis of Time Series Forecasting Models for Crime Rates: Balancing Predictive Accuracy and Practical Utitlity for Law Enforcement’.

My PhD project is titled ‘Probation and Partnership-Working: Experiences of Desistance from Crime in Activity Hubs’.
