Profile

I am a full-time PhD researcher at the Centre of Criminal Justice Studies, School of Law, University of Leeds. My research is sponsored by King Fahad Security College (KFSC) in Saudi Arabia. I received my bachelor’s and master's degrees in criminal justice from the University of New Haven, USA. Also, I hold graduate certificates in criminal justice management and emergency management. I have over nine years of professional experience at King Fahad Security College (KFSC), where I worked in several departments and delivered modules in law and policing. I served as a faculty member of the criminal justice and forensic science department.

Research interests

My research focuses on police training and education in Saudi Arabia. My PhD project explores how police training models in Saudi Arabia are conceived and operationalised and their influence on police officers’ acquisition of soft skills and approaches to community policing. The research aims to contribute to the understanding of how training influences police professionalisation and community policing in KSA.
