Profile
I am Instructional Designer with a Bachelor of Education in Educational Technology (with Honour) from the College of Basic Education - Kuwait. I worked at the Educational Television Department at Kuwait Ministry of Education before pursuing further education. I obtained MA in Learning, Technology and Education from University of Nottingham, and MA in Digital Literacies, Culture and Education from University of Sheffield (both with Merit). I am currently researching Film Education for youth in Europe here at Leeds University and will be a lecturer of Filmmaking Pedagogy upon finishing the PhD.
I am interested in anything related to Film-making; Film-editing; Multimodality; and the Cognitive Threory of Multimedia Learning.
My personal interests are: Geometric Design and DIY projects.
Research interests
My research looks into Film Education for Youth in Europe. I am particularly interested in the potential of film-editing within French Film Pedagogue Alain Bergala’s The Cinema Hypothesis. The New Literacy Studies is a potential Theoretical framework for my study alongside Multimodality research as an analytical tool for my data.
