Profile

Educational Background

I completed my Master of Arts in English Linguistics at the Uzbek State World Languages University in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, from 2005 to 2007. This program enabled me to deeply understand both the theoretical and practical aspects of learning and teaching English as a Foreign Language within the Uzbek context. Prior to that, I earned my Bachelor of Arts with Honors in English and German Philology from the same institution between 2000 and 2004, which equipped me with a comprehensive understanding of both English and German philology.

Professional Experience

My professional journey has been diverse and enriching. From 2020 to 2023, I served as a Senior English Language Teacher at the Department of Interdisciplinary Studies of the  Specialized Branch of Tashkent State University of Law. In this role, I was responsible for overseeing curriculum development and teaching. Before that, I held a similar position at Tashkent State University of Law from 2017 to 2020, where I managed the English Language Module.

One of the highlights of my career was being awarded the Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistantship Fellowship, which I undertook at the University of Texas at Austin, USA, from 2014 to 2015. This experience allowed me to contribute to language instruction and foster cross-cultural exchange in the Department of Slavic and Eurasian Studies.

From 2014 to 2017, I served as the Chairwoman of the Department of Methodology of Teaching English Language and Literature at Jizzakh State Pedagogical Institute. In this capacity, I led efforts to improve English language teaching methodologies, benefiting both students and fellow educators.

Academic Leadership and Memberships

I am an active member of several professional organisations, including Common Ground Research Networks, USA, since 2018. Additionally, I led the Jizzakh Branch of the Uzbekistan Teachers of English Association from 2011 to 2017 and coordinated the Pre-Service Teacher Training Project from 2009 to 2017. This project, a collaboration between the Ministry of Higher Education of Uzbekistan and the British Council, aimed to enhance teacher training programs.

Awards and Recognitions

Throughout my career, I have been honored with several awards, including the title of "The Best Textbook of 2016" by the Ministry of Higher Education and "The Woman Scientist" in the "Ilm Yulduzlari" republican intellectual contest in 2015. In 2014, I was recognised as "The Best English Teacher in Uzbekistan Higher Education" by the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education of Uzbekistan.
