Profile
I studied biology for a bachelor’s degree at the Shaanxi Normal University. I then went on to study Curriculum and Pedagogy for a research master’s degree at the Shaanxi Normal University. Before studying for a PhD at the University of Leeds, I taught biology in a secondary school.
Research interests
I am interested in science teaching in the secondary school. My current PhD research focuses on how teachers use questions to engage students in the practices that scientists employ as they investigate and build models and theories about the world in secondary biology classrooms in mainland China.
