Funding your studies

There are many ways to fund your postgraduate studies. Many students seek funding from a variety of sources including university scholarships, loans, sponsors or external funding bodies. Find out more about the different types of funding available.

Scholarships

Scholarships are either open to all applicants (from anywhere in the world), or specify that they are for UK applicants, or international applicants. Scroll down to see what scholarships you might be eligible for.

Leeds Alumni Bursary A 10% alumni tuition fee bursary for former students of the University of Leeds

UK

Title Summary
Deaf Education (Teacher of the Deaf) Study Scholarship Partial-fee scholarships are available for schools/services funding two or more students on MA or PGDip Deaf Education (QToD).
Head of School's UK Postgraduate Scholarship These scholarships are awarded in the form of a 50% tuition fee reduction, available to UK candidates for full-time Masters in the School of Education.
Leeds Masters Scholarships A number of scholarships available to UK students at the University of Leeds who meet the criteria.
Postgraduate loan A loan of up to £12,167 is available to postgraduate students.

International

Title Summary
Sanctuary Scholarship A number of scholarships for forced migrants to the UK, available for undergraduate, postgraduate or research degrees.
School of Education International Excellence Scholarships These competitive scholarships are awarded to international candidates who demonstrate outstanding academic achievement. There are limited scholarships available.
