Profile
My name is Hu Bingchun from Zhejiang, China. I have been studying in the UK since I was seventeen. I graduated from the University of Birmingham with a BA in Education. During my undergraduate years, I also studied sociology at Tsinghua University as a visiting student for half a year. I studied Education and Social Justice at UCL for my master's degree. Both undergraduate and master's research fields are social class reproduction.
Research interests
My current project is “The role of social media on factory workers’ rural-urban migration trajectories in China”.I intend to understand the mechanism of Chinese rural-urban migrant workers using social media to embed both the origin and destination simultaneously.
I can speak English, Mandarin and some Tibetan.
