Aidan Foster-Carter discusses North Korea

Aidan Foster-Carter, honorary senior research fellow in Sociology and Modern Korea, gives his opinion on the topic of North Korea in two articles.

Foster-Carter questions the argument made by South Korea’s president Park Geun-hye, stating that the Korean unification would be a ‘Jackpot’. Forster-Carter points out some of the challenges that a unification would bring, concluding that whoever calls “unification a jackpot is, I’m sorry, crackpot”.

Foster-Carter also examines the historic relationship between North Korea and France, concluding with speculations about their future possible relations.
