Leeds University Emeritus Professor Bauman interviewed in Spanish press

Emeritus Professor of Sociology and renowned social theorist Zygmunt Bauman is interviewed on range of subjects for EL Pais, the largest newspaper in Spain.

Bauman was Professor of Sociology at the University of Leeds from 1972-90. As a leading figure in the field sociology Bauman was made Emeritus Professor in 2004. His sociological imagination inspired the international research and teaching centre The Bauman Institute, which analyses major social change around the world.

In the interview for El Pais he discusses subjects such as democracy, the migration crisis, the 15M movement in Spain, social media and ‘armchair activism’.
