‘Managed area’ for Leeds sex workers will be made permanent

Professor Teela Sanders has carried out an evaluation of the controversial "managed area" scheme, in which sex workers are permitted to work  in a designated part of Holbeck from 7pm to 7am.

Following the scheme's successful 12-month pilot, Professor Sanders' evaluation found the scheme to be “brave and innovative”. The scheme will continue indefinitely.
