This seminar will inform the audience about the concept of recovery and peer led recovery communities with a specific focus on the ongoing work at ‘The Space’ project in Leeds.
This seminar will introduce the audience to the concept of recovery and peer led recovery communities with a specific focus on the ongoing work at ‘The Space’ project in Leeds. The importance of peer led communities, in recovery and challenging the stigma around mental ill health and/or addiction will be considered. The seminar will explain the background of The Space project, consider its aims and activities and how it differs from other forms of support. The personal experiences of some of its members explaining the benefits of attending The Space will be shared.
