Foundation year Sociology student who escaped his troubled past is headed to help those living in poverty in Ghana
Foundation year Sociology student Liam Knights has worked hard to overcome imprisonment, drug abuse, homelessness and suicidal despair.
Liam, 24, will travel to Ghana this summer to help people in poverty as part of a Government-funded project called ICS. He said, "so many people have helped me in my life when I didn’t deserve it, and now I want to give something back."
Liam must show his commitment to the cause by raising £800 towards the trip, and has set up a Just Giving page. He also asks that members of the public consider donating to Inn Churches, the charity he credits with saving his life.
Liam's story was featured in the Keighley News. Read the full article.
