As part of the Inter-Community Talks Festival, Maria Rovisco will be in conversation with Alex Chisholm about the ways in which theatre can positively transform the lives of people seeking sanctuary.
Alex will talk about Freedom Studios’ work with refugee and asylum seeker communities in the city of Bradford.
They will also open up the conversation to discuss whether and how theatre can be a tool of social change and inclusion.
Freedom Studios is a contemporary theatre company based in Bradford creating original, high quality theatre in non-theatre spaces, supporting and developing creatives.
The talk will be deliverd by Alex Chisolm, Co-Artistic Director of Freedom Studios, and hosted by Maria Rovisco, Assocaite Professor, School of Sociology and Social Policy at the University of Leeds.
