Liam Greenacre

Liam Greenacre

Profile

I joined the School of Sociology and Social Policy in 2023, with a postdisciplinary or ‘wide’ interdisciplinary mindset looking to apply this to methodology and ontology in my project which aims to look at, particularly embracing a ‘flat’ view of social reality which involves hybridity, non-humans and new materialism more generally. I have published on topics including Complexity Theory, Futures Studies, Quantum Mechanics, Politics and Sociology.

I like to embrace topics that are unconventional, broad and diverse. My thesis will aim to see how actants sometimes considered outside the oeuvre of Sociology can be understood in a sociological, philosophical way and theoretical way.
