A report based on the study findings was submitted to DWP in Autumn 2010. On 26 May 2011, a new research report, written by Gary Fry, Benedict Singleton, Sue Yeandle and Lisa Buckner, looking at the recipients of Carer’s Allowance was published by the Department of Work and Pensions.

The report offers insights into carers’ lives, the difficulties they experience, the formal services and informal support networks to which they have access, and their aspirations around paid employment and having a life of their own.
