COP28: what went well, what went badly and what comes next?

Towards the end of 2023, thousands of delegates gathered in Dubai to discuss action on climate change. Some have welcomed the outcomes of COP28, others insist that more could be done.

Now it is time to implement the resolutions made at COP28 and turn ambitions into actions. With COP29 in Azerbaijan on the horizon, we are looking to the future.

During this webinar, members of the University of Leeds delegation will explore the outcomes of COP28 and discuss how to build upon them as a research community and beyond. Focus will be on the global stocktake, the political dimension of COP28, Loss and Damage, and youth involvement. We will then look towards COP29 and examine what needs to happen to ensure continued and ambitious progress on addressing climate change.
