Dr Outi Donovan (formerly Keranen)

I joined the University of Leeds in 2017 when I took up the post of Senior Research Fellow. Prior to my current post, I taught International Relations at University College London. I hold a BA in International Studies from Kingston University (2006), MSc in International Relations from the University of Bristol (2007) and a PhD in International Relations from the London School of Economics (2013).

Research interests

My research interests are in the responsibility to protect and rebuild, ethnic conflicts and identity politics. My current research project, funded by the ESRC, examines the rebuilding element of the responsibility to protect principle from both empirical and ethical perspectives.
