The Research Project has three broad strands:
- Support for the Funding charity’s in-house advice service that provides information to parents of disabled children with a view to identifying legal problems that they commonly encounter;
- research into the causes of such commonly encountered legal problems (assisted by pro bono undergraduate and postgraduate students at the School of Law) with a view to identifying effective mechanisms that can minimise their adverse impact disabled children and their families; and
- the dissemination of the research findings to effect change: change to the systems that cause the problems families commonly experience.
