The School of Law invites applications for the Brian Hogan Criminal Justice Fellowship from suitably qualified persons who wish to commence postgraduate research studies in the academic year 2019-20.
The School will offer one Brian Hogan Criminal Justice Fellowship to one MA by Research candidate commencing their studies in October 2019 on a biennial basis. The award is open to full-time students (UK/EU or International) who have been offered a place on an MA by Research with a research project in the fields of either Criminal Justice or Criminal Law with the School of Law. The value of the award is £2,000 towards the cost of course fees for 2019-20.
The scholarship will be awarded on the basis of academic competition and we anticipate that the successful applicant will have achieved First Class honours at Bachelor level or very high Upper Second Class honours (including non-UK equivalents).

Regulations
One scholarship is available for the academic year 2019-20. The award must be taken up for a start date of October 2019 and cannot be carried forward with a deferred offer.
The scholarship will take the form of a tuition fee reduction, the amount of which is £2,000. The successful applicant will be required to pay the balance of the fees remaining.
The scholarship will be awarded to the most academically outstanding candidate wishing to study full-time for an MA by Research.
Candidates must be wholly self-financing for the tuition fee element of the programme
The Brian Hogan Criminal Justice Fellowship may be held in addition to the Postgraduate Alumni Scholarship.
Candidates must not already hold a Master’s degree either taught or research or a qualification higher than Bachelor level.
The scholarship will only be awarded once the offer of the academic place has been confirmed.
The successful candidate will be advised in writing as soon as possible after the scholarship committee has met.
