Alumni Supper - The Bar

We are delighted to welcome back two distinguished alumni from the School of Law for the second ‘Alumni Supper’ of the new semester; Kama Melly QC (1996 alumna) and Sophie Mitchell (2009 alumna).

Kama is widely recognised as one of the foremost female advocates in the North East, known for her technical ability and as a powerful advocate. Sophie is a barrister at St. Pauls Chamber in Leeds and has gained a reputation for being the Northern go-to defamation junior. She regularly acts for high profile individuals, companies and the press.

Kama and Sophie will be speaking about their careers in the Bar, including a Q&A, followed by a drinks reception in the Liberty Building. There will then be an opportunity for a select number of students to have dinner with them and Head of School, Professor Alastair Mullis, at University House.

This is an exciting opportunity for anyone who is considering a career in the Bar to speak personally with two incredibly well respected barristers.
